About The AASAT Partners Recovery Training

Our Intimacy Anorexia Training is the only intimacy anorexia certification training in the country. Intimacy anorexia is an addiction where addicts withhold emotional, relational, spiritual, or sexual intimacy from their partners or spouses. The training program contains 38 hours of DVD lectures and includes a companion workbook.

The full course is just $995 and breaks down to $26 per training hour.

The Intimacy Anorexia Training course is a remote, self-paced training program. This flexibility allows you to work through the material at your own pace. You can complete the training anywhere.

* The Intimacy Anorexia Program also counts toward 38 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and you receive a certificate of completion after completing the coursework.

AASAT Intimacy Anorexia Certifications

Intimacy Anorexia Therapist (IAT)

Intimacy Anorexia Therapist is the professional intimacy anorexia treatment certification level. This AASAT certification level is open to licensed counselors who hold a masters degree or higher level of education and who meet the intimacy anorexia certification requirements.

Certification Requirements:

• Hold a Masters degree from an accredited institute
• Be a licensed counselor in your state
• Have verified malpractice insurance
• Provide three letters of reference
• Complete 6 months supervision with an approved AASAT supervisor
• Complete the AASAT Intimacy Anorexia Training Program
• Achieve a passing score on the certification exam

Intimacy Anorexia Coach (IAC)

Partners Recovery Coach is the certification level for becoming certified to treat partners without having the licensed counselor and masters degree requirements. This AASAT certification level is open to applicants who meet the partners recovery certification requirements and complete the AASAT Life Coach training program.

Certification Requirements:

• Complete the AASAT Life Coach training program
• Provide three letters of reference
• Complete 6 months supervision with an approved AASAT supervisor
• Complete the AASAT Intimacy Anorexia Training Program
• Achieve a passing score on the certification exam

Intimacy Anorexia Pastoral Counselor (IAPC)

Partners Recovery Pastoral Counselor is the certification level for clergy members who are interested in helping partners recover. This AASAT certification level is open to pastors, ministers, and other spiritual leaders. Applicants must hold a masters degree or five years of ordained pastoral experience and meet the partners recovery certification requirements.

Certification Requirements:

• Hold a Masters degree in Pastoral Counseling, Bible, Divinity or the like from an accredited institute or have five years of ordained pastoral experience
• Provide three letters of reference
• Complete 6 months supervision with an approved AASAT supervisor
• Complete the AASAT Intimacy Anorexia Training Program
• Achieve a passing score on the certification exam
